Dispatch Tapes Released in KC Shooting

The fire dispatch tapes have been released in the shooting death of an off-duty Kansas City firefighter on his wedding night following a dispute over cab fare.

Firefighter Anthony Bruno allegedly got into a dispute with a cab driver on December 1, 2013. A KC police officer, Donald Hubbard, was working a nearby detail and tried to intervene. Hubbard claims Bruno viciously assaulted him, beating so badly he feared he would pass out, prompting him to fatally shoot the newlywed.

  1. I think mergin with LA County is a btte $ Cost Effective way of providing Fire Services and has been talked about for many years.

But as with any talk of a merger and the "Vote of No Confdence' there is more than what is talked about in public.

  2. Wedding night? Was he, perhaps, intoxicated? From looking at the photos in the news clip, he certainly looks like he could whack the crap out of anyone who pissed him off. Be interesting to get the rest of the story, as Paul Harvey used to say.
