Jersey City Firefighter Facing Child Porn Charges

A veteran Jersey City firefighter has been suspended without pay following his arrest on charges related to child pornography.

Christopher Todd, 49, was arrested last week following a lengthy investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Cyber Crimes Unit. He has been charged with two offenses: endangering the welfare of a child via possession of child pornography, and endangering the welfare of a child via distribution of child pornography.

NorthJersey.com reported that a search warrant for Todd’s home was executed at the time of his arrest, citing Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal as the source. The Jersey Journal is reporting that computers from Todd’s firehouse were also seized as part of the investigation.
