Las Vegas Fire Rescue is coming under fire for not requesting a private ambulance company, AMR, to respond to a reported stabbing across from an AMR base two weeks ago.
Despite the media saying a lawsuit has been filed… there is a process for suits against municipalities to be filed that requires an administrative claim to be filed first. The law suit is no doubt coming but that is likely months away.
Incidentally, if AMR had an ambulance parked across the street from the stabbing, why didn’t the medics simply go across the street when the run was dispatched??? If any of our Nevada friends know what the story is, please let us know.
BTW – LVFR’s response time was 3 minutes, which is pretty damn good for not being across the street!!!
