A Cincinnati, Ohio firefighter is facing firearms-related charges for his alleged involvement in a shooting incident last month in Colerain Township. Firefighter Mack Ogletree was taken into custody yesterday as he reported for duty at a city firehouse.
The shooting incident occurred August 11, 2024 outside a bar at 2:30am. According to prosecutors, over 20 shots were exchanged between Ogletree and another man. That man was struck in the head and seriously injured. A woman described as an innocent bystander was also struck by gunfire as she sat in a car nearby.
Ogletree was placed on unpaid administrative leave while an investigation into the matter continues. According to his attorney, Rich Wendel, Ogletree denies the charges. More on the story.
