Colorado Firefighter Charged Following Fatal Apparatus Accident

A Colorado Springs firefighter has been charged with careless driving following the death of a woman last month. Firefighter Wesley Cosgrove was driving a brush unit when he ran over a woman who was laying on the ground in Dorchester Park.

The brush unit was responding to a fire in a tree stump and drove over what appears to be debris on a dirt path. Margaret Miller was apparently under the debris, which included blankets and other items. The careless driving charge is a misdemeanor.
