California Sexual Harassment Case Settled for $335k

A California firefighter who claims she endured years of sexual harassment has agreed to settle her federal lawsuit for $335,000. LisaMarie Mason sued the El Dorado Hills Fire Department and former Fire Chief Dave Roberts last year.

The Village Life is reporting that the department issued a statement last week stating:

  • “As a result of mediation by a neutral third party, the parties have resolved their dispute and the lawsuit will be dismissed.”
  • “The parties have agreed to treat the terms of the settlement agreement as confidential except … to disclose the settlement amount, which is $335,000.”
  • “This settlement will have no impact on the district’s general fund. The plaintiff is no longer employed by the district.”

The case was dismissed yesterday by agreement of the parties. Here is a copy of the dismissal stipulation.
