Florida Firefighter Terminated Over Lewd Photos

A Florida firefighter has been terminated following his no-contest plea to charges he sent lewd photos of himself to a 16-year old girl.

Marco Island firefighter Nicholas Macciarolo was sentenced to three years probation in exchange for his plea to a third-degree felony charge of unlawfully using a two-way communication device to facilitate or commit a felony. Macchiarolo, 27, agreed to undergo a psychosexual evaluation as part of the plea deal. Two remaining charges were dropped.

Macchiarolo was facing multiple charges for allegedly sending images of his genitalia to the girl he had known for several years. He told police he thought she was 21. According to the victim, the sexual aspect of their relationship was relatively new. Macchiarolo had been on unpaid administrative leave since his arrest last May.
