Firehouse Altercation Leads to Charges Against Chicago Lieutenant
An altercation in a Chicago firehouse yesterday has led to criminal charges against a company officer. Lieutenant Leonard Johnson, 53, is facing misdemeanor battery charges following a fistfight with a firefighter at the fire station on West 95th Street.
According to the Chicago Tribune, the incident occurred at about 8:30 am with both men requiring medical attention. Lt. Johnson suffered a cut knuckle and the firefighter, reported to be 52 years old, suffered a cut lip.
According to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford, Lt. Johnson has not been suspended and the matter is under investigation. More on the story.
